Cryptophyllum leptoconicum
Taxonomy
Clisiophyllum leptoconicum was named by Abich (1878). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Araxes Gorge, which is in a Wuchiapingian carbonate limestone in Azerbaijan.
It was recombined as Zaphrentis leptoconica by Arthaber (1900); it was recombined as Pleramplexus leptoconicum by Ilina (1962); it was recombined as Pleramplexus leptoconicus by Teichert and Kummel (1973), Nakazawa et al. (1975); it was recombined as Plerophyllum leptoconicum by Wu (1975); it was recombined as Pentamplexus leptoconicus by Kotlyar et al. (1983); it was recombined as Pentaphyllum leptoconicum by Ezaki (1991); it was recombined as Cryptophyllum leptoconicum by Fedorowski (2009).
