Huerfanodon torrejonius
Taxonomy
Huerfanodon torrejonius was named by Schoch and Lucas (1981). Its type specimen is USNM 15412, a partial skull (partial skull with right dentary fragments), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Little Pocket, which is in a Torrejonian terrestrial horizon in the Nacimiento Formation of New Mexico. It is the type species of Huerfanodon.
