Paromphalus ammonitiformis
Taxonomy
Straparollus ammonitiformis was named by Etheridge (1902). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Duguid's Hill, near Harper's Hill, near West Maitland, which is in a Sakmarian marine siliciclastic in the Allandale Formation of Australia.
It was recombined as Straparollus (Euomphalus) ammonitiformis by Yochelson (1956); it was recombined as Paromphalus ammonitiformis by Fletcher (1958), Wagner (2023).
