Taxonomy
Minipsychops densus was named by Liu et al. (2023). Its type specimen is CNU-NEU-NN-2022005, a forewing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Daohugou (CNU 2022 collection), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large shale in the Daohugou Formation of China.
