Notocupes alienus
Taxonomy
Ovatocupes alienus was named by Tan and Ren (2006). Its type specimen is CNU-C-LB2005001, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Near Chaomidian Village, CNU 2005 collection, which is in a Barremian lacustrine - large shale in the Yixian Formation of China.
It was recombined as Zygadenia aliena by Kirejtshuk (2020); it was recombined as Notocupes alienus by Strelnikova and Yan (2023) and Strelnikova and Yan (2023).
