Afrozygopteron inexpectatus
Taxonomy
Afrozygopteron inexpectatus was named by Nel et al. (2022). Its type specimen is AM11296, a wing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Onder Karoo, near Sutherland, which is in a Wordian delta plain mudstone in the Abrahamskraal Formation of South Africa. It is the type species of Afrozygopteron.
