Brasiliupanshania cretacica
Taxonomy
Brasiliupanshania cretacica was named by Ribeiro and Nel (2023). Its type specimen is CCNH 568, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Pedreira Três Irmãos quarry, Crato (UFABC CCNH collection), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large carbonate in the Crato Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Brasiliupanshania.
