Ignacius fremontensis

Taxonomy
Phenacolemur fremontensis was named by Gazin (1971). Its type specimen is AMNH 88309, a mandible, and it is not a trace fossil.

It was synonymized subjectively with Phenacolemur frugivorus by Schiebout (1974); it was recombined as Ignacius fremontensis by Bown and Rose (1976), Krishtalka (1978), Winterfeld (1982), Robinson and Ivy (1994), Scott et al. (2013).
