Gryphus oakvilleensis
Taxonomy
Terebratula oakvillensis was named by Weaver (1912). Its type specimen is CAS 544, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Oakville, west 2, which is in a Miocene marine sandstone in Washington.
It was recombined as Terebratulina oakvillensis by Weaver (1942); it was misspelled as Terebratula oakvilleensis by Durham (1944); it was recombined as Gryphus oakvilleensis by Hertlein and Grant IV (1944).
