Labidolemur kayi

Taxonomy
Labidolemur kayi was named by Simpson (1929). Its type specimen is CM 11703, a mandible (part of left lower jaw with P4-M3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bear Creek, which is in a Clarkforkian terrestrial horizon in the Fort Union Formation of Montana.

It was recombined as Apatemys kayi by McKenna (1960), McKenna (1961), McKenna (1963), Krishtalka et al. (1975), Russell (1979), Bown and Schankler (1982); it was synonymized subjectively with Apatemys bellus by West (1973).
