Taxonomy
Dudumus berggreni was named by McGrath et al. (2023) [Diagnosis. Similar in overall size and crown height to D. ruigomezi, but D. berggreni differs in having more anteroposteriorly elongate upper molars, more strongly curved fourth transverse crest, shorter mure, narrower mesoflexus, hypocone less lingually offset from and/or closer in size to protocone, and less posteriorly oriented hypoflexus on M1–2.
LSID. https://zoobank.org/NomenclaturalActs/F97152AC-F1A44F32-8D0A-331A1D8BA254]. Its type specimen is SGOPV 2140, a maxilla (maxillary fragment bearing left M1–2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pampa Castillo, which is in a Burdigalian fluvial sandstone/siltstone in the Galera Formation of Chile.
