Lycalopex ensenadensis
Taxonomy
Canis ensenadensis was named by Ameghino (1888). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Museo de La Plata, MLP 10-56, a mandible. Its type locality is Ensenada Harbor, La Plata, which is in an Ensenadan terrestrial horizon in the Ensenada Formation of Argentina.
It was recombined as Cerdocyon ensenadensis by Kraglievich (1930); it was recombined as Lycalopex ensenadensis by Ramirez and Prevosti (2014).
