Leptictis douglassi
Taxonomy
Leptictis douglassi was named by Novacek (1976). Its type specimen is TMM 40688-6, a partial skull (both halves lower jaw; left ramus with P3-4M1-2, right ramus with P4-M3; upper maxillary fragment with P3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Blue Cliff Horizon, which is in a Duchesnean terrestrial horizon in Texas.
