Taxonomy
Nicobium cretaceum was named by Háva and Zahradník (2023). Its type specimen is JHAC BU/PTIN/1, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber (Háva JHAC coll), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar.
