Protobuthus ziliolii
Taxonomy
Protobuthus ziliolii was named by Viaretti et al. (2023). Its type specimen is MSNM BES SC 1973, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Sasso Caldo site, Besano, Monte San Giorgio, which is in an Illyrian/Fassanian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal dolomite in the Besano Formation of Italy.
