Taxonomy
Corracheirus curramulkensis was named by Pledge (1992). Its type specimen is SAM P26542, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Curramulka Quarry, which is in a Pleistocene fissure fill horizon in Australia. It is the type species of Corracheirus.
