Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
F. L. Agnolín et al. 2023Medium-sized sphenodontid diagnosable by the following combination of characters: 1) hatchling teeth which show a subquadrangular base in cross-section; 2) dorsal surface of dentary anterior to the teeth forming an edentulous edge that is ventrally oriented; 3) robust dentary symphysis that is ventrally extended, forming a chin that contrastswith the concave ventral surface of dentary; 4) prominent
dentary symphysis that conforms a “U”-shaped arcade in dorsal view; and 5) symphysis ovoidal in contour, simple and with a deep, well defined and obliquely oriented groove.
