Taxonomy
Eomysmauchenius cretaceominimus was named by Peng et al. (2023). Its type specimen is FAT-AM-141001, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber, Kachin amber (Fushun Amber Institute collection), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar.
