Taxonomy
Diapus ethiopicus was named by Solórzano-Kraemer and Cognato (2021). Its type specimen is SMF Be 132121a, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Ethiopian amber (SMF collection), which is in a Miocene terrestrial amber in Ethiopia.
