Malaquiferus tourteloti
Taxonomy
Malaquiferus tourteloti was named by Gazin (1955) [genotype]. Its type specimen is USNM 20588, a skull (Greater part of skull with P4-M3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dry Creek, which is in an Uintan terrestrial horizon in the Wagon Bed ("Tepee Trail") Formation of Wyoming. It is the type species of Malaquiferus.
