Pithanotomys solisae
Taxonomy
Pithanotomys solisae was named by Candela et al. (2023). Its type specimen is JUY-P-0358, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Maimará (middle section), which is in a Messinian fluvial sandstone in the Maimará Formation of Argentina.
