Taxonomy
Miosurnia diurna was named by Li et al. (2022). It is not extant. Its type specimen is STM 20-1, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Linxia Basin, Miocene, which is in a Miocene terrestrial mudstone in the Liushu Formation of China.
