Prosigmodon tecolotum
Taxonomy
Prosigmodon tecolotum was named by Pacheco Castro et al. (2019). Its type specimen is MPGJ 3638, a mandible (partial right jaw with i1, m1-m3 of a young- adult specimen ), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Jalteco 26 “Kowallis” - Above Dated Ash, which is in a Hemphillian fluvial sandstone in the San Jose Formation of Mexico.
