Taxonomy
Hafniasphaera australis was named by Guler et al. (2005). Its type specimen is UNSLP 3427-1 37.1/95, an other (Cyst), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Estancia 25 de Mayo (VG6), which is in a Maastrichtian coastal sandstone/mudstone in the Calafate Formation of Argentina.
