Cyonasua zettii

Taxonomy
Cyonasua zettii was named by Hontecillas et al. (2023). Its type specimen is MACN-Pv 6229, a partial skull (Rostral portion of skull), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Estación Boeuf, which is in a Huayquerian floodplain siltstone/sandstone in the Cerro Azul Formation of Argentina.

Hontecillas et al. 2023Infraorbital foramen large, contacting the zygomatic arch and located at the level of the P4; P4 with parastyle; distal side of M1 almost perpendicular to the labial side; p4 wide labio-lingually and with a subtringular outline; m1 paraconid located lingually and close to the metaconid, trigonid longer and narrower than talonid; m2 with metaconid placed distally to protoconid, and trigonid shorter than talonid.
