Lavanttalornis hassleri
Taxonomy
Lavanttalornis hassleri was named by Bochenski et al. (2023) [zoobank.org/9E7230E3-FC50-4AE6-987B-E1F0DD6C7C95]. Its type specimen is LMK-Pal 7453a+a’+b+c+d, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Schaßbach Anatid locality, which is in a Miocene fluvial-lacustrine horizon in Austria. It is the type species of Lavanttalornis.
