Taxonomy
Cenocephalus josephi was named by Legalov and Pankowski (2023). Its type specimen is ISEZh EA2019/1, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Ethiopian amber (ISEZh collection), which is in a Miocene terrestrial amber in Ethiopia.
