Ceratophyus yatagaii
Taxonomy
Ceratophyus yatagaii was named by Aiba and Král (2023). Its type specimen is KYFSI209, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Shiobara, Shiobara-machi, Tochigi Prefecture (KYFSI collection), which is in a Pleistocene crater lake mudstone in the Miyajima Formation of Japan.
