Mesoproctus rayoli
Taxonomy
Mesoproctus rayoli was named by Santana et al. (2024). Its type specimen is MPSC A4295, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Crato (Regional University of Cariri LPU/MPSC collection), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large lime mudstone in the Crato Formation of Brazil.
