Ypopteron nicola
Taxonomy
Ypopteron nicola was named by Archibald et al. (2022). Its type specimen is SFU Q-1010, a wing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Quilchena (SFU collection), which is in a Ypresian lacustrine - large mudstone in the Tranquille Formation of Canada. It is the type species of Ypopteron.
