Lithochrysa ferruginea
Taxonomy
Palaeochrysa ferruginea was named by Cockerell (1909). Its type specimen is UCM 18625, a forewing (forewing fragment), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Florissant, Station 13B, which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado.
It was synonymized subjectively with Lithochrysa concinnula by Carpenter (1935); it was recombined as Lithochrysa ferruginea by Makarkin et al. (2022).
