Taxonomy
Latiblattella basaltica was named by Vršanský et al. (2021). Its type specimen is NHMMZ PE 2014/5228-LS, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Enspel, which is in a MP 28 crater lake shale/tuff in the Enspel Formation of Germany.
