Merycodus hookwayi
Taxonomy
Merycodus hookwayi was named by Furlong (1934) [not 1935]. Its type specimen is CIT 1257, a mandible (ramus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tonopah, which is in a Barstovian terrestrial horizon in Nevada.
It was recombined as Meryceros hookwayi by Frick (1937).
