Sphaerotholus triregnum
Taxonomy
Sphaerotholus triregnum was named by Woodruff et al. (2023). Its type specimen is ROM 53583, a partial skull ( nearly complete and well-preserved isolated left squamosal ), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 45 km southwest of Jordan (NCD01), which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial sandstone in the Hell Creek Formation of Montana.
