Sphaerotholus lyonsi
Taxonomy
Sphaerotholus lyonsi was named by Woodruff et al. (2023). Its type specimen is TMP 2002.12.63, a partial skull (nearly complete right squamosal missing only the lateral surface and ventral processes), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sphaerotholus lyonsi type locality, which is in a Campanian terrestrial horizon in the Dinosaur Park Formation of Canada.
