Taxonomy
Sushkinia elongata was named by Martynov (1930). Its type specimen is Martynov 1928 coll. 66, a wing (damaged wing), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Tikhie Gory (PIN collection 2295), which is in a Roadian lagoonal claystone in the Baitugan Formation of the Russian Federation.

It was recombined as Kennedya elongata by Felker (2023).
