Taxonomy
Palaeoephippium octaramosum was named by Renz (1990). It is not extant. Its type locality is Radiolarians from the Hanson Creek Formation, Nevada, which is in a Caradoc basinal (carbonate) lime mudstone in the Hanson Creek Formation of Nevada.
