Cretoctesis conchimillanae was named by Molino-Olmedo (2023). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber, Kachin amber (USNM collection), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar. It is the type species of Cretoctesis.
