Holkopollenites propinquus
Taxonomy
Holkopollenites propinquus was named by Christopher and Prowell (2010). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Slide FLO-274@583.0’(1); coordinates 16.3 x 141.6; Fig. 13H–K., a microspore, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS - Lake City, 583.0 ft, which is in a Campanian marine sandstone in the Sheperd Grove Formation of South Carolina.
