Nannodectes gazini
Taxonomy
Nannodectes gazini was named by Gingerich (1975). Its type specimen is AMNH 92008, a mandible (right mandible with alveoli for I1 C P2 and the crowns of P3-4 M1), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Saddle, which is in a Tiffanian terrestrial horizon in Wyoming. It is the type species of Nannodectes.
