Taxonomy
Asteropyge (Asteropyge) ebbae was named by Richter and Richter (1954) [Asteropyge (Asteropyge?) ebbae]. It is the type species of Ganetops.
It was recombined as Treveropyge ebbae by Smeenk (1983); it was recombined as Ganetops ebbae by Bignon et al. (2014); it was recombined as Paracryphaeus ebbae by Lemke (2020).
