Taxonomy
Dicellocephalus broggeri was named by Moberg and Segerberg (1906). Its type specimen is LO 1836, a pygidium, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Platycolpus broggeri by Walcott (1914); it was recombined as Tropidopyge broggeri by Harrington and Kay (1951); it was recombined as Tropidopyge broeggeri by Ebbestad (1999) and Monti et al. (2022).
