Taxonomy
Hypermecaspis branisai was named by Pribyl and Vanek (1980). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is San Lucas, abandoned road road on slope west of village, which is in a Llanvirn shallow subtidal carbonate in the Coroico Formation of Bolivia.
