Dibolachras was named by Foreman (1973) [Sepkoski's age data: J Oxfo K Apti-l Sepkoski's reference number: 685,1018].

It was assigned to Syringocapsidae by De Wever et al. (2001); and to Nassellaria by Sepkoski (2002).
