Oxyacodon priscilla was named by Matthew (1937). Its type specimen is AMNH 3547a, a mandible (right dentary with p2-m3), and it is a 3D body fossil.
It was synonymized subjectively with Oxyacodon agapetillus by Van Valen (1978).
