Oculipora was named by Sokolov (1952) [Sepkoski's age data: D Sieg-u D Eife-l]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Caliaporinae by Hill (1981); to Tabulata by Sepkoski (2002); and to Oculiporidae by Rong et al. (2013).
