Elaschitotherium crepaturus

Taxonomy
Elaschitotherium crepaturus was named by Metais et al. (2008). Its type specimen is IVPP V12765.1, a tooth (right upper molar (probably M2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Shanghuang Quarry, fissure D, which is in an Eocene fissure fill limestone in China. It is the type species of Elaschitotherium.

Metais et al. 2008Differs from the upper molars of the type species E. qii in being significantly larger, in having more salient conule cristae, small accessory cusps emerging from the lingual cingulum, slightly larger styles on upper molars; stronger metaconid on p4, and absence of para- conid on p3.
