Esuritor rovnoensis was named by Wunderlich (2023). Its type specimen is F3775/UB/CJW, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Rovno Amber (Wunderlich collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Ukraine.
