Taxonomy
Subterroothecichnus radialis was named by Lee et al. (2024). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is JODA 17384, an other, and it is a trace fossil. Its type locality is JDNM-9, Blue Basin, which is in an Arikareean terrestrial claystone/tuff in the John Day Formation of Oregon. It is the type species of Subterroothecichnus.
