It differs from Argyrocetus joaquinensis in (a) a widening of the premaxillae at the rostrum base, (b) a dorsal opening of the mesorostral groove anterior to the rostrum base narrower than the premaxilla, (c) the palatine only exposed laterally to the lateral lamina of the pterygoid, and (d) a circle-shaped zygomatic process of the squamosal in lateral view. It differs from Macrodelphinus in (a) a widening of the premaxillae at the rostrum base and (b) the palatine only exposed laterally to the lateral lamina of the pterygoid.
